Speaker 2:

I feel like I'm in the middle of a shit.

Speaker 1:

I feel like I'm in the middle of a shit. I feel like I'm in the middle of a shit.

Speaker 3:

Welcome to this DI podcast. I'm your friendly host, jay, joined by my friends The chocolate boys in the building. We got Mr Chocolate. On my right, uncle DAMO. I woke up feeling large And we got sweet chocolate, sexy chocolate. On the left. Let's get it right, he's in the building, sexual chocolate. How you feeling y'all? It's a nice day. It was hailing. No, it was raining earlier.

Speaker 1:

Just a little bit out of my place.

Speaker 3:

Just a little bit. Yeah, not too much, not too much rain there.

Speaker 1:

Enough for me not to water.

Speaker 3:

Man, i haven't turned on the sprinkler system at all, at all.

Speaker 1:

How much money does that save us?

Speaker 3:

$300-400. At least It feels like a. Seattle out here. If this is what Seattle feels like, i've never been?

Speaker 1:

Have you been to Seattle, yeah?

Speaker 3:

Tell us about it. How'd you get out there, damo? How'd you get?

Speaker 1:

out to Seattle. Well, I knew somebody Who'd you know And I got to spend some time out there.

Speaker 3:

Nah, come on, man, You was a dark horse.

Speaker 1:

Relationship.

Speaker 3:

Let's take it back to you know, when you were playing for the pirates and accounted you out, and then somehow you made your way to Seattle. How did that happen?

Speaker 1:

Hey man, you know I played in the Rookie League man.

Speaker 3:

The Rookie. League You was in the NFL.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, how'd they fly you man? What First class coach business, hell no, what was you Last?

Speaker 1:

season of the play.

Speaker 3:

No, I was in the aisle seat Back then you didn't have to buy two seats, right? Yeah, big boys was allowed to have one seat You're such a hater You didn't have to be like, yeah, you can't sit here, like, no, there's room for you, too, you can sit down.

Speaker 4:

They're still real fun. If they had big boy seats, would you buy them?

Speaker 1:

I do buy big boy seats.

Speaker 3:

That's first class. Talk to them.

Speaker 1:

I do.

Speaker 3:

You ain't traveling unless it's first class.

Speaker 1:

Now, DAMO, that's not true.

Speaker 3:

So it's first class, or?

Speaker 1:

Economy plus Exit row.

Speaker 3:

And that's only two seats.

Speaker 1:

What Is that? two seats.

Speaker 4:

No, i don't buy two seats, it's a single seat.

Speaker 1:

No, it's three people.

Speaker 3:

So somebody can sit in the middle, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

I used to leak into the other seat. I don't leak into the other seat.

Speaker 3:

You've been losing weight, big boy, i appreciate it.

Speaker 4:

I wish you'd like to leak into the other seat. I did.

Speaker 1:

That's fun. Sauce. No let us describe that. I've been with people that leak into the other seat. Let's talk about it. Because you got the section with the arm.

Speaker 3:

Yes, you put the arm section down and then the leakage is coming from everywhere on top of the men's section.

Speaker 1:

Why are you in the middle seat?

Speaker 4:

They say it's called ice cream.

Speaker 1:

That's exactly what it is, Coach.

Speaker 3:

Round of applause.

Speaker 1:

Leak in ice cream Yes, So the question is why are you in the middle seat?

Speaker 3:

Me. Well, i could fit in the middle seat.

Speaker 1:

No, why? That's why I'm in the middle seat.

Speaker 3:

Some times it's tight of your stature. I didn't check in properly.

Speaker 1:

I didn't do that so sometimes I'm rushing for $40.

Speaker 3:

I'm cheap. Everybody like doing that man.

Speaker 4:

I'm already pay.

Speaker 3:

I'm already pay 75 for my bag plus I work out, so I could sit comfortably wherever but you just said you Couldn't no, i said I could. That's why. That's why I'm in the middle. Okay now, my legs is long, that's uncomfortable, cool, but I'm not leaking. I'm not melted ice cream on somebody else, like I'm not getting it on their shoes, none of that.

Speaker 1:

Hey, that's what. Hey, can I tell y'all story? Yeah, what's up Let's talk about? so I Know I have two questions for you. I have a question before I get into my story. So, on an airplane, omar, what's up brother?

Speaker 3:

Omar in the building Um East Africa.

Speaker 1:

I have a question for you. So when you get on an airplane, there's unwritten rules, okay, one of which not everybody understands. So when you're sitting in a row, it's three. Who owns the armrest?

Speaker 3:

If you're in the aisle you get that armrest automatically okay. If you're in the middle, I feel like you get The left and then the person in the window that you're sitting on. No, no, the right side of the plane. Yes, so the outside so the outside okay okay.

Speaker 4:

So everybody should be going away from each other, exactly starting from the window.

Speaker 3:

So the window guy, the wall.

Speaker 1:

But but the window has the wall.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, so the window has the wall to the window. Anyway, the aisle, that's a good point the aisle huh, And then the middle.

Speaker 1:

You should be on The aisles so then that means, the middle seat has two.

Speaker 4:

You kind of do you do fuck that.

Speaker 3:

You do no, I disagree who you think should get to nobody. Well, that's not mathematically possible, unless the person everybody lean on each other. No, so the person, the person you lean towards, the aisle, the person on the window.

Speaker 1:

Let's say we are facing the front of the plane and we're on the right side of the plane Which I always sit on right.

Speaker 4:

But they will got a lot of stipulations with this. It's an assumption, right? Okay, let's go ahead.

Speaker 1:

I know I'm gonna let you go, and so the window person has the Left, left left side, the middle person has the left side and the person in the aisle has the left side. So everybody has an armrest to their left, because you don't have an armrest on the middle seat Or, excuse me, on the window seat.

Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying. So everybody's leaning towards the aisle got it Okay, yeah, yeah, i feel you right and left.

Speaker 4:

Okay, i'm with you, man. So me I like, so I will if I was on the window. I'm leaning towards a window.

Speaker 3:

I'm just lean on the wall. Well, you got the best sleep position, right? Yeah, cuz you could put the pillow, can?

Speaker 1:

you sleep. Can y'all sleep on the plane?

Speaker 3:

Okay, i can't too.

Speaker 1:

If I'm on the window, i can definitely and I have so many airplane stories, man, i have to tell y'all this one. so Got on the plane. I was flying from Dallas to Denver and flying from Dallas to Denver.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's like a mo does Dallas.

Speaker 1:

It's hour and 15 minutes. Yes right, so Southwest I was. This is when I was flying Southwest okay and Get on the plane. Yep, me. And so it was the strength and conditioning coach From CSU that was sitting on the window, and we're in the aisle seat.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you told us this, i did, i did so Yeah so should I keep going or no?

Speaker 1:

Yeah go ahead. Then it was me Sitting in the aisle and then you know, we thought we're about to take off. Dude comes running in huffing and puffing, sweating, gets on the plane, puts his bag up. The flight of two was like sir, you need to sit right there. And he looked at me and he looked at the other dude, like he was, like he wasn't as big as I was no middle seat, a lot of leakage.

Speaker 1:

There was a lot of leak Oil spill the dude got off the plane was like I'll catch the next flight. No bullshit.

Speaker 2:

Like he was your average American.

Speaker 1:

I didn't hear what he said. This dude was the average American guy. You know 5, 9, yeah, 190 pounds and he was about to come in there with the big dogs, Hmm and he was like I'll catch the next flight me. Another dude was like alright.

Speaker 3:

Was he chocolate too? Yeah, oh. Was the dude right that came on yeah, y'all had nice little.

Speaker 4:

Sandwich right there little Neapolitan ice cream sandwich.

Speaker 1:

No, that's straight up.

Speaker 2:

Oreo, oreo ice cream.

Speaker 1:

Yeah no, yeah, cuz I'm we're leaking yeah, you.

Speaker 3:

You know what, man, i feel like. We're all advocates of the LGBTQ community, right.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, i'll try where's this going.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you know, if you were part of like, if you your sexual preference was Like gay, i think you would be.

Speaker 1:

Wait what.

Speaker 3:

Time's not that time. Yeah, i'll leave it alone. I'll leave it alone. Paul, time-snap, that I just think. You just I Don't know you just like gregarious, like you just fit in anywhere. He's a life of the party.

Speaker 1:

What are you saying?

Speaker 3:

you've been there to work a lot of gay people are like the life of the party And I feel like a lot of quiet people are fucking undercover. Don't get afraid. Don't get afraid, i'm not, i'm like.

Speaker 4:

Hey, paul, time stop Hi time snap that all of that.

Speaker 3:

Yes, they will got unfit that I don't know I think you're like the, the most masculine you know straight guy, i know cool. Thank you, you're welcome. You're welcome speaking of masculine. NFL Suspended some people for gambling. I'm sorry, man, see, now your whole mood is no, no But no.

Speaker 1:

You know what I was thinking is like. As soon as you said that, i was like do these dudes like?

Speaker 3:

I just want to shake my head like, oh, as far as them being suspended. And it's like anyway yeah, so let me just list the people we got Rashad Berry, indiana Colts, defensive back, suspended indefinitely which means it happened more than once.

Speaker 1:

Or it happened, or or it was in multiple.

Speaker 3:

It was egregious. Got it Nicholas petite for referee I don't know how to pronounce your name He got six games for gambling while at the facility. and Then Isaiah Rogers, indianapolis, indefinite. Demetrius Taylor, free agent. Yeah, indefinite, and Yeah what? so, to your point, go ahead.

Speaker 1:

No, I was. It just one thing that I learned.

Speaker 2:

Yeah from.

Speaker 1:

from from this is I like look, look this shit up. Yeah, and Some of it is like dudes in the locker room Talking shit, put money on it, like you know how we do it's like bet that.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you know, I'm saying Okay so when you say at the facility, you know I'm saying, I can see that they're at the facility They're like, okay, you know, no, that boy gonna go off.

Speaker 1:

No, you ain't know, that boy gonna go off, bet that. And they're at the facility betting. And Then then they get caught up, like whatever way they do let's unpack that.

Speaker 3:

So yeah, cuz I thought of it as You paint a good picture, cuz I didn't think of it like locker room talk. Next thing Yeah, like bet that I Was thinking more like big brother watching at the facilities, like, as far as you know, being able to Track things on Wi-Fi, and be like, oh, what is he doing on Caesar calm or whatever it is that might be true like and this.

Speaker 1:

These are all assumptions, right? the other one that I thought about is, like you know, like betting on sports betting apps, yes, but not I didn't connect it to like Wi-Fi or anything like right, but like that. Some of them got suspended for gambling on the road, yeah, and the stuff that these dudes do on the airplane Oh, it's like people don't see this stuff.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we've heard stories.

Speaker 1:

No, these dudes go hard on the airplane. Right, you're in the air. Just think of you're flying York's playing oak or LA.

Speaker 3:

Yep.

Speaker 1:

You lose a game. You're watching the game on the TVs on the plane. You're like bet that, like yeah there's normal conversation normal conversation do some money bet that, bet that, so that's great.

Speaker 4:

So what so, what? so? I think for me the question is Why allow fantasy football? Normal sports betting, like the NFL is in, is in bed with these people like, like, let's just put it to fantasy football, okay, and it fell in fantasy football Are in cahoots with each other, i agree. So then now your players are put they can't play fantasy football Or they're making certain bands will certain play. Like how do you separate the two?

Speaker 3:

That's a great question.

Speaker 4:

That's a great great question, cuz you're double dipping. It's like, okay, i'm a fine, i'm a suspended fine, my players for betting, those for betting, and there's something that we're totally engaged in. So let me ask you no feeding?

Speaker 1:

does NFL calm have a fantasy league or, yes, do not I don't know that they don't know if they do. ESPN See yes, i don't know that.

Speaker 3:

Yes, I don't think NFL does.

Speaker 4:

But NFL Network has a fantasy football show. Yes, yes, that's gambling. Yes, nobody's. I've never seen, i didn't know nobody's really playing fantasy football for fun. I Guess you have some people that play it for fun, mm-hmm, but like come on.

Speaker 3:

Does NFL? the network has a fantasy football football Wow. So if that is the case, then I am shocked because So I get it from the aspect of what demo is saying of you know, nfl License them their brand so that these gambling companies can have these fantasy shows, fantasy football, etc. I know they're getting paid off of that right, but the fact that if NFL Network has their own fantasy fantasy show, that is crazy.

Speaker 4:

That's not addiction that fantasy predict they do.

Speaker 1:

Wow, they do. That's a fact. Sauce.

Speaker 4:

Draft who should I draft in my fantasy league? Which fantasy do the good morning football? Good morning football, That's all they talk about Like? who should I be drafted? Who's projected to get this many yards? What type of team I mean? what type of running back? What type of quarterback? What type of team should I put in?

Speaker 3:

so-and-so got hurt.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy, i didn't think about that.

Speaker 3:

That is crazy. That gives me a different perspective as my opinion, because they're all the way in. They are Gamblin's a big part of the NFL, especially with fantasy. I think when fantasy took off like that's when the NFL really was booming like that. That's a reason why they are booming because?

Speaker 1:

so tell us why you think that, the reason why it's it's really booming. I have my perspective. I love to hear yours.

Speaker 3:

So for that I think it's because again they can. Now It's gaming as far as gambling right. So now I can have my own Fantasy football team where I'm looking not only at one team where I was like trapped to only the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 3:

I'm like, i'm a Raiders fan, i'm watching the Chiefs because I got my homes, i got the Baltimore Ravens defense, like I'm all over the place. So now, in order to do that, if I'm serious about it, especially those big leagues now I'm buying the NFL package, right, like, so now not only to watch the home team and whatever comes on national, but yeah, i want to watch Whoever I got. So I'm gonna get the package so I could watch any team at any time. So that that's more money, right, and then It just expands that like that's the growth of the NFL right.

Speaker 1:

So that's my opinion. It's such a so number one. I agree with you 1000%, when you, when you like, because the NFL so you can't. They haven't expanded teams Since the Jacksonville Jaguars. I think that was the last expansion team, i'm not correct. You're correct in that and then they're like okay, how do we monetize more Mm-hmm in the NFL? and I don't know that NFL gets any benefit from fantasy football. So again, this is an assumption, viewership, but it's viewership Absolutely, which T?

Speaker 4:

number is everything and that's what they want. Yeah, so they do monetize off of that.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, did you, yeah, so. so the question was does NFL calm have a fantasy league?

Speaker 2:

Oh.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you're on top of it man.

Speaker 1:

You're on top of it, dude.

Speaker 3:

So with that, hey, that does change my purse in. For fantasy happening.

Speaker 1:

You do NFL calm, Damn hey.

Speaker 4:

As a business they promote fantasy football, and then those owners got it.

Speaker 3:

They got it figured out over there in the NFL.

Speaker 1:

They do like to put players on lockdown and then put it, put a white pick, a fence around that bitch, right? You know I'm saying say not, absolutely No, you're a player, but like how many players do you think this is provocative question? How many players do you think have an alter ego, like a burner account, like KD did, but like on fantasy football?

Speaker 3:

Oh, absolutely a large, because they got to play with like their families. Yeah, large percentage, absolutely. So that's funny, like when you get caught as like who was the whistle whistleblower you know?

Speaker 1:

in that situation So I think my takeaway from this and I did not know that is You know you shake your head and judgment of these boys that got caught up. Okay, we don't really know the details on how they got caught up or what they did. Right, you know you like when you started I was like shaking my head like, damn, these dudes, man, messing up their career, messing up They money blah blah blah, not following the rules not following the rules.

Speaker 1:

It's so easy blah, blah, blah, but, like when we broke, break it down like we just did. Mm-hmm, man, it gets kind of sticky.

Speaker 3:

Well, so do we know the exact rules? like you can still bet No, no you can't bet on anything.

Speaker 4:

No, nothing.

Speaker 1:

No, nothing NFL.

Speaker 3:

Amen, good, well, that's what I mean. So, but you could bet on baseball basketball, yes.

Speaker 4:

Yes. So Derek Wolf was like they. They trained them don't take, no, don't take no gifts. Okay, don't take. He said. It's all the way to the, to the point to where don't even take a cop from a hotel. Whoa. So so like imagine if you go to Vegas if you go to Vegas and then let's say MGM was a comp in your room.

Speaker 3:

No can't do it.

Speaker 4:

They didn't say you can't, but they advise you not to Because you don't know where that could lead to. You know, yeah, you don't know where that you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and sauce. That that's I. I didn't know, that because I know the perks That players get right when you were in Seattle. Well, no, like let's take it. No, let's take it way from that. Okay and let's just talk about you know. You know, getting into the place. That costs money. Let's say, New Year's Eve and you're in Vegas. Let's just paint a picture, um, and said player gets into a bar or a party that costs $250 to get into okay and you and I both know corporate gifts can't exceed Let's call it 75, 75 bucks, right?

Speaker 1:

So did they break the rules because they got him free, because they're their NIL in the professional aspect, allow them to get in dude, like I'm not, like. My judgment is gone.

Speaker 3:

That's crazy. Yeah, yeah, you changed the game with that one. I did not know. They had a fantasy league man.

Speaker 4:

But I want to do they. Yeah, is that NFL car still a thing?

Speaker 2:

You can go, you know car you get in free Oh gotta be gotta be gotta be.

Speaker 4:

Man yo yo. But I think it should be like if you bet on your own team or if you bet on your own player, i think you should be okay To win to win to win?

Speaker 3:

Yeah to win. I think you should leave it alone, i agree.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, i think you should leave it alone, but I don't think they should suspend you. If you're, if you're betting on your team to win, but like if you're betting on your team to lose, then it's like, okay, you could be points. Yeah, dude, like you bet on the under. The biggest point shaving scandal was that Arizona State University.

Speaker 1:

That was such a great poster.

Speaker 4:

It's the poster child of point shaving. Dude that doc that was a great my mind for a yeah, so like if you're if you're betting against yourself, okay, it's a red flags, but if I'm, if I'm, if I'm betting on killer Mm-hmm to score 30 And he scores 30, we win the game. Like what's the problem? and we're on the same team, courtney.

Speaker 1:

What was the name of that documentary?

Speaker 3:

There's an advantage to that, though? There is an advantage to that, because if you let people start betting on their teams and on players like you know things, like the playbook, you know information of like, oh, he might not even show up today. I'm sure yeah, like you know the loot that a very fine details of like. Oh yeah, he's gonna go to work because I was in there and you know, whatever the case was, but you're still betting on yourself, though, so how does that go against you?

Speaker 4:

I don't like.

Speaker 1:

I don't like betting against myself because so how does that go against your? team. But football such a hard Well.

Speaker 3:

I think sport to bet on that's what I mean. I think it's hard to monitor it. First of all, right, but then Yeah, but bet on yourself to lose.

Speaker 4:

It's like better than you said to lose, like okay, it's a highlight. Listen, i'm gonna do something to throw the game.

Speaker 1:

But betting to win.

Speaker 4:

You're like, i just throw in a certain certain amount of motivation on my team to win, like I just, i just think it's a, i think it's different.

Speaker 3:

I think that should we get out of control if you let them do that? I think so.

Speaker 4:

But, but it shouldn't be a year suspension vote, betting on yourself.

Speaker 1:

But we but they haven't disclosed the details to say what he did, yeah, or what they did.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry a fine line.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was good, though, Yeah it was it opened my mind up All right.

Speaker 3:

Since we're on sports, we'll just go right into. You want to talk about the NBA quickly? Are y'all familiar with what's going on, james?

Speaker 1:

Harden being trash and trying to put everything.

Speaker 3:

Well, let's start with yeah, let's break. Let's start with James Harden and we'll get into our beloved nuggets.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

James Harden like dude, you're, he's, so let's let's explain to the listeners They he opt in for his 35.6 million with the 76ers and now he wants to be traded. And Now go demo.

Speaker 1:

This teams that are interested Like you're not that dude, no more.

Speaker 4:

So does he opt in that he can? does he have to so when he is traded? is he still making 35 million or he opposite, make every workers deal?

Speaker 3:

You have the option to rework his deal, but I Think the receiving them, you have to have the money in the cap space in order to Receive James Harden many James Harden, even interesting and winning the championship. That's a great question. So the teams that are interested Clippers, miami Nicks Those are the ones that come to mind.

Speaker 1:

I think there was one more. the question is, as James Harden won a ship?

Speaker 4:

No, no, he's been to.

Speaker 3:

He's been to lost to Oklahoma Thunder when they lost to Miami.

Speaker 1:

Is there a team That could put him in as a piece of the puzzle to win a ship?

Speaker 4:

Philly, that's the only team Yes, that's, that's the only team Where he's a piece. It's Philly.

Speaker 3:

He's Miami.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 3:

Miami. No, no, you think he would get along with Jimmy Butler? No, just not that kind of pedigree.

Speaker 1:

Butler is a dog.

Speaker 4:

She's staying Philly, man, she's staying Philly If he wants to win a championship if he wants to win a championship, I agree. Or if he has those aspirations to win a championship, who y'all know it goes through dinner, i think.

Speaker 2:

Clippers.

Speaker 3:

I think a win-win would be going to the Clippers and getting Paul George somehow to Philly. I Think that would be good for 76ers.

Speaker 1:

What is Bubba? does a trash Trash?

Speaker 3:

who's trash?

Speaker 1:

James Harden.

Speaker 3:

Oh, got it.

Speaker 1:

He's in this career, he's, he's, he's, he's reaching for air.

Speaker 3:

I agree He's. He's not a player that has shown to me that he can get it done in the times that it counts.

Speaker 1:

Fair enough.

Speaker 3:

Against Boston. He had in their last game, seven game seven, nine points, seven assists, i Think, like six rebounds and a plus minus of minus 30.

Speaker 1:

Damn. So he almost had like a low, double, double. So I don't know.

Speaker 3:

What do you think? oh, do you think he could go anywhere? what about the Knicks?

Speaker 4:

nah, no, no, because, uh, jaylon Brunson is there and I just think that he's a guy that would kind of make Jaylon Brunson digress. Regress got you in his development. Honestly, i think James Harden would be a nice backup roll. Oh Six man.

Speaker 1:

Yes, his ego is too big. No, No.

Speaker 4:

No, i'm not saying he would do it. Yeah but in terms of if he wanted, like a team that needed a piece to win the championship. He's done that before wouldn't it be nice to have James Harden coming off as your bench plan against you Planned against the second, the second team. I'll believe in James hard and just give him the green light. I think, so let him do what he want to do today happening, but I'm with you. Yeah, I'm not saying it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3:

I'm saying that's the last time you went to the finals is when he was six man.

Speaker 1:

I'll believe in James Harden when I could see his whole face.

Speaker 3:

When he cuts the beard you know, hey, no evolution like yeah yeah ain't no woman gonna allow him to shave his face. Hey, play on that, Yo. If he did shave the beard, i think all of America would be like oh, even if he just cleaned it up, if he did something to his face. I think you're right, like that would put the wool over people's eyes and they'd be like, oh my goodness, he's ready, he's ready, he's a new guy, he wants to win a championship now.

Speaker 4:

That bitch 35 million wolfed out beard.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

Really they were like drug dealer, immediate gratitude, it was a quick response.

Speaker 1:

It was really thought to it was like drug dealer you know it's funny about that.

Speaker 3:

Why do they think all drug dealers just make millions of dollars?

Speaker 1:

Go ahead, Jay.

Speaker 3:

See a drug dealer. See why is that? Because everybody think you know they scarface and it ain't like that, like, Yeah, it's the cache You try he's apparently he's a tough guy because he's drug dealer. He's trapping, which in most cases that is not So go, so go to no go is that go to the mouth of no go.

Speaker 4:

Hey, do you?

Speaker 1:

think so. The question is do you think he would have got that if they didn't win?

Speaker 3:

Oh, not at all, not at all, not that much. I think he would have got paid. He might have got but Yeah, let's say I don't know how far as they went like Western Conference finals, he probably would have got 10 million a year. Well, i would say 12 million. Oh, that's fair because he was making six million.

Speaker 1:

Oh, he was yes.

Speaker 3:

But to your point now you win. The ship You got yesterday's price is not today's price.

Speaker 1:

He's that's life-changing. Oh, absolutely Oh yeah, even though like his money that he's making was already, but this is like generational.

Speaker 4:

Oh, absolutely Yeah dude, you have to do so. that's his way.

Speaker 3:

You can't even mad at nine times that come on Now, you can't even matter eight times $22 million in the Pacers were at the bottom of the east. Yes, they could use him. He's gonna start. I don't know who the guards are there.

Speaker 1:

Is he a starting player? No uh no, I don't think so.

Speaker 3:

Damn really, i don't know. He had a really good role here and never.

Speaker 4:

Yes, he's not a starter and didn't low-key in bad goes somewhere else and start not below key in bat, like yeah, i agree with that, but low-key in basketball. He could have that role and make 80.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, absolutely 90. Yeah, I think he wanted to stay here. We just Just campaign.

Speaker 1:

But like because there's a lot of payroll, like you have joking Murray, mpj. Aaron Gordon and Gordon that that's it so the never right there then the nuggets are gonna get turned upside down in two years Yeah they are in there years.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, is that when everybody's pretty?

Speaker 1:

much. It's like two, three years wrong.

Speaker 3:

So what are our chances, now that we Don't have Bruce Brown, of going back?

Speaker 1:

No, no, no, we're still a contender.

Speaker 3:

You like their chances better with Bruce Brown, but do you think we could get somebody comparable to?

Speaker 1:

Because people want to come here now, Man they're on over there making on Brian.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 3:

You know me letting jokes breathe. You know when you got him. He keep talking.

Speaker 1:

It's good. Go ahead the answer to every geographical question. Earl would have answered mamba Bellows, the bellows mamba. Oh crown, crown market. Uh, peoria I 70.

Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness All right chambers wrote moving right along.

Speaker 4:

I'm gonna get a little serious man Popeyes.

Speaker 3:

Silverman park is that Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Albrecht street.

Speaker 4:

Chambers, crown boulevard 56.

Speaker 2:

Tampa Bay.

Speaker 1:

Florida. Damn that was a?

Speaker 4:

that's not the geographical range. Five, five, five.

Speaker 3:

All right, uh, okay on the freaks. That's funny, the freaks. The freaks was running stuff in the bellows. Um shout out to the freaks. Uh, we used to just have silly shit going on, right, the freaks. That was crazy. I wasn't in the part of it. I wasn't a freak but I think, i think co is a freak? He was an honorary.

Speaker 1:

He was the honorary freak. I was on a rare You don't have to cash a to be a freak, okay.

Speaker 3:

I think he was surprised you.

Speaker 1:

No, you don't think. Anybody who stares at somebody across the dance room. Is serendipitously serendipitously serendipitously, ain't a part of the freak.

Speaker 3:

All right, move it right along. Uh, more of a serious subject. So the supreme court overturned uh affirmative action. Uh this past, uh Thursday, which was yesterday, uh, for this recording, and the ruling in favor was, i think it was six to two. Contagy Jackson backed out from the voting process, which was interesting to me wonder why, yeah, that's interesting.

Speaker 1:

Actually, I didn't know that.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so let me, let me say this. So, uh, the supreme court on thursday ruled that the race conscious admission policies of harvard college And the university of north carolina violate the constitution, bringing an end to affirmative action In higher education and a decision that will reverberate across campuses worldwide. So what's interesting, and that is those two universities harvard is the oldest private institution. North carolina is the oldest public Institution Yeah, so that's great.

Speaker 3:

It is that that's telling And what's interesting to me, given the vote was six two in favor of uh banning affirmative action for College admissions. So I want to be very clear on that.

Speaker 1:

That's, and people think it's more broad. Yeah, they do think it's more specifically for university university admissions.

Speaker 3:

If you look at the judicial branch, 90 of them go to ivy league schools. Yep, but there's only like one. You know where. They didn't go brown. University. Oh, i thought you meant ups, no, no.

Speaker 1:

No, no. On a serious note, brown university is the most diverse Ivy league school Really.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's interesting. Do you know, like how diverse?

Speaker 1:

um, I don't. I don't know the statistics off top of my head.

Speaker 3:

That's interesting because, uh, so I do have the percentages of the Ethnicity breakdown at harvard. So White is 41, african-american is 15. Asian-american 28. Hispanic, latino 12 percent. Native american 2.9 percent in. Native hawaiian pacific islander 0.8 percent.

Speaker 4:

Hey man, 15 percent at harvard. I wouldn't have thought that.

Speaker 3:

I? I wouldn't have thought that either.

Speaker 4:

That's pretty high.

Speaker 3:

That is High considering. Yes, I believe.

Speaker 4:

Absolutely, it's harvard. But but was that massachusetts, massachusetts? was that a byproduct of affirmative action?

Speaker 3:

That is a great question. So, with this whole thing, they are, on the applications, just getting rid of race entirely. Okay, okay, so it's no more identifying race, but what you can do in your essay is Identify yourself as far as how You grew up, or if you want to put race in there, you're more than allowed to do that. As far as, hey, this is your, um, your reason why I need to be accepted out of college, right? That's what the essay usually consists of. So, okay, i would love to give your thoughts before I go, or everybody's thoughts of, like, what do you think the effects of this is?

Speaker 4:

well, we go after the census to learn. Tell me more. Why don't we just say Latino, hispanic, white, white, latino, like, just clearly, i'm not not white slash hispanic or white slash whatever on these, on job applications, i think, okay, if you want to do that, let's. Let's really clearly define it, got it? You know what I mean. Let's take the The uh, our, our, uh, our Latin brothers and sisters out of that white category.

Speaker 3:

Gotcha.

Speaker 4:

So you're saying If you're gonna do it like that, well, let's, let's, let's get real concrete.

Speaker 3:

So, as far as the taxonomy, let's, yeah, let's revamp it, let's revamp it, let's do it. Well, let's do it different, categorize things differently, and let's see how these numbers.

Speaker 1:

Bear out do I stand?

Speaker 4:

correct in terms of in terms of the reflection of our country.

Speaker 3:

Gotcha, you know what. And just I think There's something there, i think, for affirmative action. A lot of it has benefited white women, you know. So it's not only I know. When they hear affirmative action It's usually races the forefront, but gender is a part of that too. Hmm, right, so a lot of white women have benefited from affirmative action.

Speaker 4:

So what's so? so, so going back. So They're taking this race off, but not gender.

Speaker 3:

Yes. So I'm glad you bought that up, because I think when you talk about category taxonomy, you should go all the way. Go all the way Right. So if we're not identifying race, we should.

Speaker 4:

I don't wanna know who you are, I just wanna know what your accolades are.

Speaker 3:

Right, because I think, whenever you look at an application, like we're trained to be unbiased, right, and you try to do your best to do that, but you do get pictures in your head of, like, the type of person they might be. You might do your best to be unbiased towards that And people do a damn good job of it if you have the training. I don't know if everybody gets that kind of training, but anyway, yeah, faceless, genderless, like I don't know who this person is. Right, i'm going off the essay.

Speaker 4:

I'm going off the essay.

Speaker 3:

And accolades The grades. The only question I have about the essay, though, is that when you do start to identify yourself like, a lot of that has to do with relatability and with the committee that is, and affinities. And affinities of, like, the people in the room that are making the decisions at the end of the day. So if you have a committee, that's all one type of culture, then homogenous.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, homogenous, excuse me.

Speaker 3:

Homogenous absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Homogenous? what the fuck man.

Speaker 3:

But yeah, to your point. yeah, like still there is a level of hey, we need representation in those places.

Speaker 4:

So I don't know. But then categories mean dollars too, though Real quick.

Speaker 1:

I messed up. Harvard is the most diverse university. It changed from when I looked last time, So just wanted to correct myself. Would you look in 2005? No, in 2019.

Speaker 3:

Oh got it, i did. So, Brown is probably second.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Oh, got it. Completely fell off, got it.

Speaker 1:

And like I'm, like whoa, And diversity is explained different than the definition on where I work.

Speaker 3:

So I would look cause you're in the field. Sure Love to hear your opinion.

Speaker 1:

So diversity is explained. It starts with data. Okay, the data says what is the least represented populations in the business.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

And it starts with. So the most represented are white and Asian.

Speaker 3:

So it goes right to race, not gender.

Speaker 1:

Not gender? Okay, but we do have a focus on gender Well, i'm sure, specifically in technology, technology and sales. Those are the focus.

Speaker 3:

So, in your experience, what do you think is if you were to prioritize you're saying race, gender, sexuality, or is that even considered?

Speaker 1:

So, like sexuality, it's in the forefront but it's not the priority because there's no nothing on an application that you can say, hey, this is how I identify, So you can't track that data.

Speaker 3:

No, so I had like, up and asked that. What's that Like sexuality?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, on the EEO form you cannot identify is LGBTQ, got it Right. So, like that's the tracking of data. So the most are white and Asian, the least Native American, black and then Latin, latin, a Okay, and the way that Harvard defines it is Asian, and then the ones that I described, right. So you know, it's like neither here nor there. It's like it's just a different nomenclature based off of where Different categories of white.

Speaker 3:

But the similarity is there. Yeah, you know what's crazy, though They didn't post, so I did go to Harvard site just to see what their percentages were. They gave us, they gave me, or when I looked on their side, they give you every category except white, which was strange to me.

Speaker 1:

No, no, so we're saying the same thing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, So like I had to calculate, like okay this is the percentage of the minorities. Yes, and then the remainder of that, i assume, is the white.

Speaker 1:

We're saying the exact same thing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

And why is that?

Speaker 3:

That was strange to me, like why don't you identify that? But I don't know.

Speaker 1:

So I don't wanna go into a whole different rabbit hole, but just throwing it out there. Do you all know like the admissions process for Ivy League schools?

Speaker 3:

No, I don't.

Speaker 1:

So one of which and I don't know the whole process, but I know bits and pieces So let's say you are, let's say your ancestors or your grandparents or whoever are donors to Harvard.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

You get priority. They have like priority spots for people.

Speaker 3:

So Which I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Speaker 1:

That's it's fair. Yeah, I don't think so. No, it's not fair. If your family donated, to the school.

Speaker 2:

It's understood.

Speaker 1:

You get like hundreds of millions of dollars, okay, but like, let's say, your grades weren't spot on but you still get accepted, and somebody else, let's say, you have a three nine and somebody has a three six, or, excuse me, you have a three six and you have a three nine, or somebody else has a three nine. That goes to your relationship. So It does, and thank you for bringing that back. That was pre-podcast. But then there's only a certain amount of students that they can actually admit on a yearly basis, and that's where, Well, it has to be exclusive.

Speaker 4:

You gotta have some exclusivity to it. I agree, no, you do.

Speaker 1:

But I'm just saying The exclusivity is really, really thin, is all I'm saying, very thin, i just don't think that they don't know For new students into Harvard. Do you think Harvard's?

Speaker 4:

taking JC transfers.

Speaker 3:

No No.

Speaker 1:

Private, private instance, yeah, so like there's only so many freshmen that they can admit, yes, and so, based off of relationships and based off of donors, and based off of X, y, z, like all these things they have going on, that's who they have to prioritize. So then they're like okay, we all know disenfranchised communities didn't have the clout to be able not the clout, the money, let's just say to donate to Harvard. To be able to say, hey, that's my nephew, that's my son or whoever, that's my daughter, to get them into Harvard They have to work 10 times harder And it goes back to what we've been told our entire life.

Speaker 3:

I hear you. I think the where we get it misconstrued is that we're talking about education. They're in the field of education. That's what Harvard does. Yes, they are a business, and my man They are. They're starting to realize that, as I'm older, they are a business when they're private, so they're funded by the state And when you have an entity like that, you can do what you want.

Speaker 3:

You can, and it's like they have the superlatives, like they're that creme de la creme, right, it's like no different than you wanting to get into the NFL. Unfortunately, you took the words right off the mouth It's like, only the good and those that are fortunate are gonna get to that level.

Speaker 4:

But to be 15% African-Americans? goddamn high.

Speaker 3:

It is, and I don't know how many. What is there? I think they got like a thousand.

Speaker 4:

What's their total enrollment?

Speaker 3:

I don't know, but I looked at the totals. It's like a thousand black students that go there.

Speaker 4:

Okay, I would say roughly in there, but I was so. So that means they're probably around my 30,000.

Speaker 3:

I think you're right around that.

Speaker 1:

There's probably um 20 23,000 23, so 23,015 african-american I think that's pretty In massachusetts ivy league.

Speaker 4:

I think that's pretty good, that's fair, yeah, so that's.

Speaker 1:

Harvard. We're not talking about All the other ivy league school and, quite frankly, ivy league schools don't really matter.

Speaker 3:

They don't no i'm saying like it's cool, but like I agree. So let's talk about that. Yeah, because I think Definitely when you go there you get. I think you're really paying for what you alluded to earlier. Is relationships right, i'm surrounded by the top 1% in The world, probably. Yeah, cool. But look at you. Did you go to ivy league? No, and I would say where you're ended up in your life at this moment You're top 5%. Thank you, you know what I mean. Same for me, top 5%. I went to public school.

Speaker 1:

You went to public school, You know but you went to a really good private school. I did for college, for college.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but uh, i played basketball to get there, you know sure um, there's another dynamic that goes into this.

Speaker 1:

Can I, can I go back to the application process real quick, just real quick? Yeah, so you know you can't check this box to say this is who I am. Um, but you can talk about who you are In the essay, yes, um, what happens when you can't describe Who you are?

Speaker 3:

That's crazy.

Speaker 4:

So it's gonna get there.

Speaker 1:

It's, so is that no, not not immediately get there.

Speaker 3:

But no, you're absolutely right.

Speaker 4:

That'd be a ill rubric to say okay.

Speaker 1:

Chat gbt write me an essay for harvard.

Speaker 4:

No, i'm just saying like a rubric for a person that's That's sitting there looking at a criteria to let a kid in. So then let me, and you have to just write totally about who you are. But how can you write about who you are without describing your cultural experience? Sure, that's what I mean, like, and it's like okay, this, this person's black, this person's latin.

Speaker 3:

So sauce, can I, can I give you one more, but you still get to put like your transcripts got to go on there.

Speaker 1:

Sure, let me give you one more. In your sat, it's, it's a fact in our community. What are the? Let's just say the sport, like extracurricular activities and Specifically sports that we engage in? Which sports?

Speaker 3:

or just just what if?

Speaker 1:

I say I hear football basketball, football, basketball, even throw out baseball. Um, but then when you think into um High class, lacrosse lacrosse, hockey, like all these other different sports golf, that golf that are very high price. Then a lot of times our communities cannot afford.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, but no, i'm saying as a, as a student of color. If I'm trying to get in the Harvard, i'm just overthinking it and I'm sitting there trying to write my essay and I'm trying to like how do I make this as authentic, eric? How do I make it as generic and um Palletable as I can? absolutely, i could have a 4.0 right, but then I can. Can I really talk about When I grew up on the holly, my mother was a crackhead.

Speaker 1:

It's true.

Speaker 4:

No, absolutely My dad wasn't there. but through all, despite all of that.

Speaker 3:

That's a compelling story right there.

Speaker 4:

All of that to become a 4.0 student that graduated from mother in high school.

Speaker 1:

And then they look at your zip code on, like, where your application is. Yeah, you see what I'm saying.

Speaker 4:

Not like and they're like oh he's, oh here, here She's black.

Speaker 3:

So that's what I'm saying. Then you get back to the actual process and the committee that is then having to vet, like Looking at that right and putting it against other stories and So what do you say? like somebody's gonna have to relate to that. Somebody might not relate to that and be like yo we can't had this person here because all they heard was crackhead. Yeah, no, seriously though.

Speaker 4:

Say my mother was a schizophrenic. Like right right like look at mother was a schizophrenic. My father was got over opioids.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, what was on?

Speaker 4:

opiates or something like that. My father was on my father was on opioids. I went to mother in high school. Um, yeah, like those, those little like I created my own startup. If we're looking at it faceless, right, and you have to, to, just you have to figure out a way to write a paper to just Feningon your way into a school that makes you appear more white, and if you want to identify yourself with white problems Like that's ill, no, i agree, sauce You. that's very on the head dude, absolutely man.

Speaker 3:

I think that's crazy.

Speaker 2:

This podcast Bustin Bustin because that.

Speaker 3:

So that takes me back to, like, the success that we've all had and we didn't go to private school. And then, if you really look at it, i don't know what the percentages might be, but I mean, what was that? Um, it was, uh, the Like. If we were to compare us to somebody that went to an ivy league, like, where would we pan out in that spectrum?

Speaker 1:

There's no data. Please look y'all like, do you think?

Speaker 3:

we would be on the bottom.

Speaker 1:

No, we'd be in the upper middle. There's no data that says because you go to a ivy league school, you're gonna be more successful than someone that doesn't. I don't know if y'all know this. No, I didn't send it to y'all. Wade just got promoted To congratulations to win. To to the to the VP, or, excuse me.

Speaker 3:

Um, he was VP.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so he's the head of all inclusion for netflix.

Speaker 3:

Everywhere everywhere nice, like literally no for real, the other day That's awesome.

Speaker 1:

No, that's a shout out. The dude went to weaver state.

Speaker 3:

That's what I mean.

Speaker 4:

I, i totally agree, but, but, but so so let's be fair Is he benefiting from being black?

Speaker 3:

No, that's the that's the real question.

Speaker 1:

No, no because you, we, we all know like I think No, no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 4:

question This right here's no knock on wade.

Speaker 1:

No, i think it's a great, but no, it's. It's what? and I'm not, i'm not coming from a biased perspective. Right Wade was on this show. Yeah, he, you heard him talk. Yes, and it's his experience.

Speaker 3:

Is the intersectionality of oh no, he definitely worked hard to get over his ass.

Speaker 4:

No, it's, no, it's no, i'm not taking but. I think a thing away from Wade Right, Nothing.

Speaker 3:

I'm not taking anything away from Wade but you're saying if that did that door open, just because you're a Like that first opportunity black.

Speaker 4:

Homosexual man. Wait, he, i'm just. I'm just saying no, i know, and nothing about what he brings to the table because Wade is brilliant.

Speaker 1:

No, he is, and that that's what I'm saying. He's brilliant and I would say I don't know that I recognize Wade's brilliancy. Is that a word? brilliance, brilliance.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, brilliancy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, my bad. I don't know, that like 20 years ago when we were in college, yeah, that I recognize that This dude is putting work.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no, no, absolutely like, like, you just don't get to that level.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, he's done the work.

Speaker 3:

I just think first code job, that's his first corporate job.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, so it's not about what I'm not speaking. I'm not speaking to the work. I know you're not. I'm speaking to A dea with deep, with diversity, equity and inclusion position. Yo, black Gay man On the face of it.

Speaker 1:

Insert here So then, then, what would? so? what would you say about his previous boss, who was a heterosexual black female?

Speaker 4:

Heterosexual black black female Insert here Can you insert.

Speaker 3:

You can insert anything but white, white, head over White heterosexual man over diversity, equity and inclusion.

Speaker 4:

It doesn't look the same.

Speaker 2:

It does.

Speaker 4:

Black heterosexual woman. Black gay man. Hispanic gay man. Hispanic heterosexual man. Hispanic, a Hispanic heterosexual female. Pacific islander gay woman, like, like anybody of color that checks those boxes in a diversity, equity and inclusion space. Insert here, Insert here. You cannot you. It just would not on his face. It would not look. It would make your company look disingenuous. If you had a white heterosexual man over that position, you can have a white woman over that position before you can have a white heterosexual completely fair.

Speaker 4:

And, and this is no, this is Zero takeaway from way I said, right next to way, one of the most brilliant, understanding, open minded I'm not gonna even say articulate man, don't individuals that we had on our show, absolutely And and I've seen it, i've seen it and I've heard it In person this is no takeaway from What, what, what he can do and who he is as a person. This has everything to do with the state of the state of the society, and we have to put faces on things.

Speaker 1:

Um. Nicely said no, i'll stay there.

Speaker 4:

That was great Good, hey, thank you, man, man, you're gonna shout out the way.

Speaker 1:

No dude, like this dude, we were texting back for he hey, let me, let me throw a shot away real quick. I was like I called him and it went straight to voicemail and then, um, i, i text him, um, you know, like the next day, like you know, let's call it 12 hours later And I'm like, yeah, uh, i hit. No, he texts me, he texts me the article about him getting promoted like the head of dei.

Speaker 3:

What a narcissist. No no, no, like he did it, look what I did yo Check it, check me out.

Speaker 1:

So in hindsight he didn't even know. I called him Go. this dude was like Yeah, I'm on a mini vacation. I'm like okay, Where are you at? He's like france, Who goes on a mini vacation to france?

Speaker 3:

Wait, i told you, but you know his partners from france. That's what you said That's what I like, who goes?

Speaker 1:

to la, to france, on a mini vacation wait head head of Dei is that?

Speaker 3:

is that the time that we were just?

Speaker 1:

talking about. No, it's, it's the head of uh, uh, inclusion head of the news, and so, and that netflix shot out.

Speaker 4:

So the funny thing about is funny, you bring up way. We were literally just talking about way before the pot. The pot started, so shout out to you wait. We heard that, um, netflix is coming up with a restaurant.

Speaker 1:

I had no idea. So the first thing that came up, the first thing that came up.

Speaker 2:

Jayden said the first thing that came up my mouth, sorry I said is?

Speaker 4:

I said yo, We got to hit away to see if we can get on that list.

Speaker 1:

I didn't know that. Yeah, really, where? Oh, that makes sense, that's where he is.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Let's go Let's get on the list. I would like you know me. I'll be like, no, I'm good, No, I would go to that. You would go there, I want to.

Speaker 3:

I want to anywhere they eating you're going. He don't want to pot there, but he like yeah. Yo are we eating? I don't want to pot in LA, but if we eat, no, i'm good.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, how many courses we go ahead? six.

Speaker 1:

At least No dessert.

Speaker 4:

Man, it's just for Context, so the uh listeners could just know how dope way it is is. We can have this total conversation right smack in front of him. Oh, absolutely, oh yeah and he would, and he would be, and he would, he would, he would totally engage, he would understand and he would, he would, he would, he would feel what we're saying And he would put, and he would put he would embrace it and he would push back.

Speaker 4:

Exactly he would, he would, he would, he would, he would. But he'll push back the same way. Yeah, so shout out to Wade Friend of the show for show.

Speaker 3:

Absolutely. We put the whole segment on Wade.

Speaker 1:

That's how great he is. They got double it. He ain't even here. No, he's just good people. Yeah, he is.

Speaker 3:

Uh, not much else to talk about y'all. I do want to say one thing, though All right ocean gate.

Speaker 4:

Can we close with ocean gate? We could close but light-hearted ocean gate, not, not, not heavy heavy. Got enough time.

Speaker 1:

Oh bullshit, oh bullshit.

Speaker 3:

Fumbling oh that's what they did they fumbled the water. Oh yeah, let's talk about ocean gate.

Speaker 1:

So can I give you one thing real quick, oh go go ahead, go ahead, no, go go ahead.

Speaker 3:

Man, we're gonna say no.

Speaker 1:

I got a hit of myself. What we gonna say is about ocean.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yeah, open this up.

Speaker 1:

So one thing.

Speaker 3:

Give me some the wipe this up, jalen. I'm sorry I got this here goes again. Yeah, wipe this up open, open.

Speaker 4:

It's up to wipe it.

Speaker 1:

Oh God, courtney, you're so mature. No, you know. One thing that I did like did some research on we were talking this week and Ocean gate.

Speaker 1:

I researched a couple scientists on YouTube okay and The scientists on YouTube were saying There's a couple things that were really alarming about Ocean Gate. Number one Just come on, um, they had a specific like sensors on the On the vessel That is completely separate from everything Inside. So when they talked about, they lost communications on, like, what was that? Sunday or Monday, mm-hmm, like, whatever day it was, they knew Like it was a rat, immediately, immediately, yeah, like, because when this thing was gone, this, this Capsule was gone, that gave pings to you know The things, to know that, hey, location, yeah, we exist, because it had to get back up to it or to get back up. Like you know, you can go that way, that way, like, up that way. But it was almost like a navigation system in the ocean, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

And they said The like this dude said, once that was gone, he said he knew and he was like the American government Well, i don't want to say the government, but like it was essentially the government, because it's the military and all that He was like it was a rap. They knew as soon, like 3,500 feet when they lost communications. It was a rap. All right, 3,500 meters, i'm sorry 3,500 meters Got him which is 10,000.

Speaker 1:

Let's call it 12,000 feet.

Speaker 4:

Gotcha gotcha Man. I just so for me, man, i just think, With any of us on the show, get on that Stakey man. We just kind of talking our little, our pre-production meeting about Oshige man. We kind of we kind of talked about it last week. I said, you know, if they most CEO came to him It's like look, damian, yo, i just love what you're doing with diversity, equity, inclusion. Do you're doing an awesome job, man, you are really bringing our company together. I just really want to reward you, man. Do everybody's telling me how great of a personality you are? man, you're just such a little teddy bear. Yo, i have this wonderful trip Hey, it's on this with this company called Ocean Gate. Don't even worry, i got you, it's 300. It's just 300,000. You don't have to pay 250, 300,000 because, because we're getting the two front seats, i know you need a room, so I'm gonna pay the extra 50 so you have the more leg room and stuff. All right, the exit aisle.

Speaker 4:

Yeah let's not look Debbie's, and you know Debbie's and those saveries on the side for you. What do you think Damos taking a trip? absolutely not. They must like sign me up.

Speaker 3:

Boyant too. So I feel like you would. You would last longer than the average. I'm. I'm all fucking his be popping and they both be like what's going on? What?

Speaker 4:

I don't understand. We are gonna be the first body still intact like a like a sperm whale. We're going on a mate deep dive. We're going on a maiden version of a maiden voyage.

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna be the average guy can dive 10,000. This man right here's at least 20. No, you can do it. Are you would have just took us back up demo is going on. We would have been there, you would, we couldn't go down demo is going on that trip.

Speaker 4:

We're going on a maiden on a maiden voyage.

Speaker 3:

Speaker 3:

Because you're a company guy Like you come in here just screaming the company, like you're all about the company. I think you would fill the peer pressure and how to go in there I tell y'all, real talk, why wouldn't go? because I've seen you in action. Yeah, yeah, like what your friends?

Speaker 1:

Can I tell y'all why wouldn't go?

Speaker 4:

Speaker 3:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

They don't have. Oh yeah, they just had a bedpan like it was just crazy too much.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 3:

Speaker 3:

Hey, I told you about that time. You introduced me to his neighbors.

Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, yeah, oh, you turned it on. What turned it on?

Speaker 3:

He did, he did. Can I tell that story? Oh, tell your version. No, i'm telling the real version. So, anyway, i go to Daymo's house. He lives in the Southlands. What's the name of the black Creek?

Speaker 2:

doesn't matter, sounds about right out there black Creek.

Speaker 3:

Black Sand Creek, someone of those we out there. He calls me out because this is Daymo, he, he, he. just a man, you should come out, we should bond a little bit. Let's have a one-on-one.

Speaker 4:

Let's talk about that.

Speaker 3:

Let's talk about the pot. I Come out there, we have a great conversation. He's showing me is his house, which is lovely. Gave me some inspiration. Shows me the patio. Just had it done. I'm not gonna say how much it was, but Show me the patio, how much space, the sound system. He had his little Green egg or red egg, one of them showing me where he likes the savory snacks.

Speaker 2:

Oh.

Speaker 3:

So I'm out about to leave. As I'm leaving, hey, demo, who you got with you? Got his neighbors right, his white neighbors across the road you know that's how they do out there and having a good time Drinking and join the weather. He's like yeah, man, come, just come over there with me, man, so I can introduce you to my neighbors. As we're walking over there Starts changing the strut and we're from that. You know that why I walked to that, standing up straight.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 3:

They didn't know about the pod. And then you had a black podcast. They were like oh, there's more. You Is it all black. What do y'all talk about? Oh, you know, just just things.

But I would like to say yo, if you Don't Listen or you don't watch, don't pretend like you do, cuz it looks bad. I have people approaching me saying, yeah, i know y'all doing great things, which is awesome, but then they try to call out episodes, things that we haven't said, things that we haven't done, and It feels a certain way when you do that.

Speaker 3:

All right, these brothers work hard. Don't don't ridicule them. Don't don't ridicule them. Don't act like you watching when you don't because It looks bad. All right, we working hard out here. We're in our hundredth. And what episode co.
